If you invoice from home or your business has no headquarters in Almeria, you have surely asked yourself this question: Do I really need to rent an office, or is there something in between? There is, and it is called a virtual office.
In this article we explain what it is exactly, what is included in WorkSpace and, above all, whether it makes sense for your situation: whether you are a company that wants a presence in Almería without opening a physical headquarters, or if you work from home and want to separate your personal address from your professional activity.

1. What exactly is a virtual office
A virtual office is a service that allows you to register your company or freelance activity at a real address without having to work there every day. It provides you with a legitimate business and tax address (which you can use on invoices, your website, and in the Mercantile Register), mail and package handling, and occasional access to meeting rooms whenever you need them.
What it is not: a daily workspace. If you need a fixed place to sit every morning, what you are looking for is a coworking space or a private office. The virtual office solves the image and administrative management part, not the place where you physically work. Many companies combine the two things: a virtual office as a base, and they book a meeting room when a client meeting comes up.
2. What the WorkSpace virtual office includes
At WorkSpace we have two options, both with the address Calle Arráez 11, right in the historic center of Almería:
Geolocation (€174/6 months): fiscal, commercial, and postal business address in Almeria, plus reception and custody of your mail and packages.
Virtual Office + Meeting Room (198 €/6 months): All of the above, plus 12 hours of Sala Vital or Casual room time included for your meetings, and a 50% discount on any additional hours you use those rooms.
Both options have a minimum commitment of 6 months and prices do not include VAT. There is also the option to rent a locker if you need to store equipment, you just have to ask.
One detail that is often asked about: if a client or supplier shows up asking for you without notice, at reception we take their contact details and email them to you the same day. You are never left without knowing that someone came looking for you.
3. For whom it makes sense
Companies without headquarters in Almería
If your company operates from another city but you want a real presence in Almeria (to appear in local searches, bid on contracts that require an address in the province, or simply project the image that you know the local market), the virtual office gives you a legitimate address without the cost or commitment of opening a physical headquarters that you will rarely use. Whenever you need to meet with a local client or supplier, you just book the room and that is it.
Remote professionals
If you are self-employed or run a small business and work from home, it is common not to want your private address on invoices, your website, or the Mercantile Registry. It is not just a matter of privacy: an address in the historic center of Almería, instead of an apartment, changes the first impression a client gets when looking you up on Google before hiring you. The virtual office separates your personal life from your professional activity without requiring you to stop working from home.
4. Virtual office, coworking or private office
The three services coexist in WorkSpace and are not mutually exclusive: many clients start with one and move up to the next as their business grows.
- Virtual office: It gives you address and management, without a physical space for daily use. It is the option with the least commitment.
- Coworking (FIX or FLEX): a workspace to use every day, with access according to the modality you choose.
- Private office: a closed office for the exclusive use of your team, with 24/7 access.
If you start with just the virtual office and later need a fixed workspace for yourself or your team, there is no need to switch providers: you simply add the next step up within WorkSpace.
5. How to hire
The process is simple: you let us know which option you are interested in (geolocation or using rooms), we formalize the business address registration with your company or activity details, and from that moment on you can start using the address on your invoices and official documentation. If you have questions about whether you need anything else (an office, a presence for an entire team), you can talk to our Hub Empresas team and we will advise you with no obligation.
6. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the Workspace address as the tax address for my company or as a self-employed professional?
Yes. The WorkSpace virtual office allows you to use the address Calle Arráez 11 as the address for your business activity, whether you are a freelancer or have a company, without the need to be physically in the space every day.
Do I have to go physically to pick up my mail?
It is not mandatory. We keep your mail and packages safe and notify you when something arrives. You can drop by to pick it up whenever it suits you or, depending on your needs, coordinate it another way with our team.
Can I use the meeting rooms if I have a virtual office contract?
Yes. The Virtual Office + Meeting Room Access plan includes 12 hours of Vital or Casual meeting room time upon sign-up, plus a 50% discount on the use of those rooms thereafter. If you sign up for the Basic Geolocation plan, you can also reserve rooms at the price listed on the website.
