THIS IS WHO WE ARE

A workspace, with a name and a face.

Our coworking space in Almería has been running for eleven years, with over 65 coworkers, and a single idea: the space matters, but the community matters more.

WHY WORKSPACE

What makes our coworking space in Almería different is not something only we say.

Five reasons why our community stays.

REASON 1

Schedule without breaks

Open Monday through Friday year-round, regardless of anyone's calendar.

REASON 2

Everything, from your phone

Reservations, bookings, and cancellations, all online, whenever you want.

REASON 3

Real community

Events that make matching with others no coincidence.

REASON 4

Designed to work

Dual fiber optic internet, climate control, and natural light in every room.

REASON 5

Hosts, not receptionists

Someone who knows your name and gets things done on the spot.

A workspace is not just desks and wifi. It is the people who fill it.

We are the first space of coworking in Almería. Today we are more than 65 coworkers, freelancers, the self-employed, small businesses, and digital nomads who share more than just a building: a way of working where you can ask for help, grab a coffee with someone who understands your day, and still have your office door closed when you need it.

THE BUILDING

A 19th-century building, designed for today's work.

History and functionality, under the same roof.

We are right in the historic center of Almería, between the City Hall Plaza and the Cathedral, in a fully renovated 19th-century stately home. High ceilings, large windows, natural light in every room — the kind of space that isn't built today, but where work gets done best.

In addition to coworking, we function as a business center: we put resources, space, and people at the service of your activity, in an environment where collaborations between companies happen naturally, without forcing them.

I've been at WorkSpace practically since it opened its doors, and I have to say that it is «the place» my company needed. The relationship with the professionals who work there is excellent; you could even say that we already have a friendship that we have cultivated over the years, thanks to the good work of the managers and the rest of the people who make up this community

What is WorkSpace Coworking Almería and where is it located?

WorkSpace is a coworking space located at 11 Arráez Street, in a 19th-century historic building very close to Plaza Vieja, in the center of Almería. It offers flexible and dedicated desks, private and semi-private offices, corporate spaces, meeting and training rooms, virtual office services, and day passes.

The difference between a coworking space and a traditional office lies in their structure, cost, and flexibility. **Coworking Spaces:** * **Structure:** Flexible and community-oriented. You rent a desk or a private office within a larger shared space. * **Cost:** Generally more affordable, as you share the costs of rent, utilities, amenities, and services with other members. You typically pay a monthly membership fee. * **Flexibility:** Highly flexible. You can often choose from various membership plans (hot-desking, dedicated desk, private office) and scale up or down as needed. Leases are usually short-term. * **Amenities:** Shared amenities like meeting rooms, kitchens, lounges, printers, Wi-Fi, and often coffee/tea. * **Community:** Emphasis on networking and collaboration with professionals from various industries. Events and workshops are often organized. * **Ideal for:** Freelancers, startups, small teams, remote workers, and anyone seeking a flexible and cost-effective workspace with a sense of community. **Traditional Offices:** * **Structure:** Private and dedicated. You rent an entire space exclusively for your company. * **Cost:** Typically more expensive. You are responsible for all rent, utilities, maintenance, furniture, and other operational costs for the entire space. * **Flexibility:** Less flexible. Leases are usually longer-term (e.g., 3-5 years or more), and making changes to the space can be costly and time-consuming. * **Amenities:** You are responsible for providing and maintaining all amenities for your employees. * **Community:** Primarily focused on the internal community of your own company. * **Ideal for:** Larger, established companies, businesses with specific security or branding needs, or those who prefer complete privacy and control over their workspace. In summary, coworking spaces offer a more flexible, community-driven, and often cost-effective solution, while traditional offices provide exclusivity, privacy, and complete control over a dedicated space.

In a coworking space like WorkSpace, it is not a lease, it is a service provision: you do not have to contract utilities or make an initial investment. You pay a fee that includes the space, furniture, internet, climate control, cleaning, security, reception staff, and access to common areas. The commitment is that of the service you contract: a day pass commits you only to that day, and a monthly desk to that month.

Do I have to wait until the beginning of the month to hire him?

No, you can hire it whenever you want. Monthly hires are for 30 calendar days from the day you start, not from the 1st of the month. For example, if you start on May 20th, the next invoice will be on June 20th.

Do I need to sign a commitment contract?

There is no commitment beyond what is contracted: a daily pass commits you only to those days, and a FLEX or FIX monthly position to that month. For monthly positions, a contract is signed in which you are asked to give two weeks' notice if you wish to cancel it.

What is included in the price? Are there any additional costs?

The price includes high-speed wifi, air conditioning, cleaning, access to common areas, and natural light. All rates are all-inclusive, except for lockers or a copying service for more than 10 copies.

What internet speed does WorkSpace have?

WorkSpace features dual 1,000 Mb symmetrical fiber optics with a secondary backup line, ensuring the connection is not interrupted even if the first one fails. The network system is connected to a UPS.

What is space security like?

WorkSpace has access control at the main door and the private door for users with monthly rates, an alarm, and motion sensors with cameras at both the entrances and common areas.

Do you have parking nearby?

WorkSpace is located in a blue parking zone, where you can pay using the Telpark app, and there are also public parking lots nearby. There is also monitored bicycle and scooter parking at the reception, and a Hoppy and Bolt bicycle rental station right at the door.

Can I visit the space before hiring?

Yes, you can sign up on the WorkSpace visitor page to schedule a no-obligation visit and check out the facilities before deciding which option works best for you.

What are the coworking hours?

The general schedule is from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, with customer service from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. FIX desks, private offices, and corporate spaces have 24-hour access, and flexible desks have access according to their agreement. FLEX desks do not close on holidays. Regarding day passes and room rentals, please consult with us.

Is WorkSpace a space exclusively for freelancers or also for companies?

For both. WorkSpace works with freelancers, remote workers, and independent professionals, as well as with companies that need a presence in Almería through Hub Empresas or Corporate Spaces.

Can I deduct the WorkSpace fee as a self-employed worker or company?

Yes. The WorkSpace fee is considered a rent and utility expense related to the business activity, deductible for personal income tax (IRPF) and corporate income tax (Impuesto de Sociedades), with deductible VAT if the activity is subject and not exempt. WorkSpace issues a full invoice with all tax details.
